Harry Woodworth Grant Foundation Donation

What is the money used for ...  The Harry Woodward Grant Foundation was started about 15 years ago.  Harry Woodward provided the “seed” money ($2,000) to start the foundation.   Over the past 15 years, VGA members have contributed to this fund, usually when paying their annual dues. Their contributions have made this foundation an excellent source to assist local golfers.  The purpose is to grant money to any deserving person or event relating to golf.  It is not a scholarship fund.  It is a grant.  Requests for grants must be in writing and directed to the VGA Board of Directors who makes the final decision.  For example, VGA has awarded grants to local golfers (both junior and adult golfers) to help with expenses to travel to the lower 48 states to participate in regional golf tournaments. If you would like to support the Grant Fund you can use our bottom portion of our membership application and mail it to the association.  Thank you for your support.
